R80 BOBBER

Our client came to us with an unfinished project he’d been working on for a couple of years. Life got in the way, as it often does, but that’s where we stepped in! The client had a list of “nice to haves” and a few non-negotiables, and we brought his vision to life…

As requested, we transformed the 1986 R80 RT into a sleek bobber with a custom-built rear section and a one-off license plate holder.

For the front end, we used headlight ears from a classic '70s R-Series BMW. The Renthal black MX handlebars pair perfectly with Vans waffle grips, while the Daytona speedo gives the cockpit a clean, simplified look.

We completely revamped the electrics, overhauling the charging system to include new lights and mini LED blinkers. Plus, we tucked a drop-tank style battery box away between two SC Project ceramic-coated megaphones, keeping everything neat and tidy.

To complete the look, this R80 rolls on Hidenau K60 dual sport tires, providing an aggressive tread pattern for off-roading without sacrificing performance on the pavement.
